Caorle

In the past it was just a little fishermen’s village, but today Caorle is one of the most famous destinations for family holidays on the Northern Adriatic Sea thanks to its large offer of hotels and apartments situated inside residences and villages only few steps far from the seaside, equipped with pools and every other comfort.

CAORLE BEACH: AND YOU ARE SAFE!

Caorle boasts two beaches – Ponente and Levante – with a fine and golden sand and a low sea bottom where children can have fun in a safely way for the joy and serenity of their parents.

Moreover along the seashore there is a wide range of services that make the holiday at the seaside highly comfortable: from sun chairs and sun umbrellas rental, to toilets, from showers (also with warm water) to sport courts on the beach, and then kiosks, restaurants, ice cream parlors… Everything planned for the ease of tourists.

THE FISHERMEN’S VILLAGE IS NOW A LIVELY BEACH RESORT

Between Ponente and Levante beaches there is the small and picturesque city center that is unique with its colorful houses colored with bright tones, the narrow streets that remind Venice calles and the perfume of delicious seafood dishes coming out from the restaurant’s kitchens…

On Summer nights families on holiday pour out on the streets of the old town city center, watching the windows of the shops and shopping, having dinner in the restaurants and in the pizzerie or eating an ice cream along the promenade that carries to the Church of Madonna dell’Angelo and that is always striking at every hour of the day. There the children have fun climbing the stones of the cliff that every other year - during the event “Scogliera viva” - are carved with creativity by artists.

FUN BEYOND COMPARISON IN CAORLE

Also on the beach young people can find many opportunities to entertain themselves taking part to the activities programmed by the free animation team that works in specific areas of Caorle beach: the animators organize games, tournaments, dances, gymnastic, aquagym and many other funny pastimes to entertain children and adults that want to put themselves on the line.

And on Caorle beach people can also practice many sports: windsurf, beach volley, beach tennis, bocce… These sports can be interchanged with pleasant swims until the floating islands situated in the sea, in front of the beach. From there it is possible to launch in funny and acrobatic dives.

For a Summer day different than usual there is Acquafollie in Caorle, the water park where people can spend adrenaline days sliding down from the high slides and splashing around in the pools. While at night it is always nice to go around between the colored lights, the carousels and the music of the fun fair nearby.

THE NATURAL SIDE OF CAORLE

In Caorle the holiday can also be in touch with nature: in the hinterland there are paths that cross the countryside and there are also small villages that stud the landscape and that are perfect for short trips by bike with the family, but also part of longer circuits ideal for expert cyclists.

Moreover near Caorle there is also the shielded natural area of Vallevecchia: a park in a lagoon environment with over 4 km of beach left at the natural state where it is possible to do bird watching, admire savage animals in their natural environment, observe flowers and plants that grow in a unique setting. In Vallevecchia people can follow the paths by bike or on foot or explore the surroundings with a guide. Furthermore between groove of reeds and little islands it is possible to see and visit the casoni, the ancient houses of the fishermen of the lagoon.

AND IN THE SURROUNDINGS SMALL CITIES RICH IN HISTORY

By bus, by train or by car it is possible to go on day trips in the nearby cities of Veneto region: in short time you can find yourself walking in Piazza San Marco in Venice, or drinking an aperitif in Piazza dei Signori in Treviso, or discovering the small medieval and roman cities that stand not far from Caorle like Portogruaro (with its medieval city center), Concordia Sagittaria (with the many rests of its roman past), Summaga (with its beautiful Benedictine abbey) and many others.
